DURKL, Stranger than Paradise and Chris Burns have been slow cooking this one for a while, but are incredibly excited to announce their pool party debut next Saturday at the Embassy Row Hilton. This incredible rooftop pool and deck offers stunning views of Dupont Circle and is fully stocked with a great bar and dope food options.
There will be complimentary towel service for all patrons and we are bringing in a serious sound system to crank summer anthems from myself, Navbox and Rosario and Phil Real. This is our trial run, so we’re hoping to see all our friends so we can make this a weekly event!

What began as a small story, has become a campaign for peace in Congo. We never had all of the answers, but we knew that speaking up was first. Now Falling Whistles is launching an exploratory Advocacy Office in our nation’s Capital, searching for collaborative solutions to our world’s deadliest war.
Come meet the FW team and a host of friends for a night to eat, drink, and be merry as we pursue a dream that most would call impossible – peace in Congo.
This is a free event and we encourage you to invite anyone you’d like to share the story of Falling Whistles with.
Tickets available at the door and HERE
The local boys are back from LA and Gavin and I are thrilled to have been asked to share the stage with the guys. This will be huge!
District has one of the best soundsystems in DC and an amazing room and roofdeck to boot. We will be holding the vibe down all night and its just $5 to get in by RSVPing yourself and your guests HERE.
…and in case you haven’t seen it, our homie Greg Jeske put together his fantastic video from our last party!!!
Slept on vocal house from 1993. Glenn “Sweety G” Toby’s name pops up on several other records from NYC around this time, though this is the best thing I have found from him yet. This was definitely not considered a “classic.” Solid vocal, bassline and hook. Not much more else I can say but I really like this! I’d never seen it before in my hunts until I scooped it at A1. Here is the Discogs listing…
